This all-Canadian event will offer exquisite food pairings specifically created for this occasion, and a sleek, contemporary entertainment program showcasing the many talents of students from across the Limestone District School Board (LDSB), while raising funds for the Foundation.

As the LLF has successfully done with The Crystal Ball, Canadian Crystal will once again allow student musicians to participate in a professional setting, gaining experience in the production and performance of a theatrical show with valuable input from professional musicians. All elements of the evening will be woven into the commemorative moment of Canada’s 150th.

The highlight of the evening is sure to be the All-Canadian Concert  – a 60-minute multi-media event, featuring original music and other Canadian classics, performed by 37 students of the LDSB, and mentored by a group of professional musicians. The LLF is pleased to have the incredible talents of Alexendra Mundy, John Abrams, Tim Stiff and Greg Runions producing the show.

Canadian Crystal Concert - STUDENT VOCALISTS:
Congratulations, and thank you, to the over 70 LDSB students who came out to audition for the Canadian Crystal Concert. Show producers are now in the process of calling back some students for a second audition Sunday, April 2, 2017 at the John Deutsch University Centre, Polson Room and Monday, April 3 at the LDSB Education Centre. Students have been contacted through e-mail.

Show producers were overwhelmed with the number and calibre of students who auditioned. To perform on a world-class stage, and be mentored by industry leaders, are life-changing experiences. It is what the Limestone District School Board and the Limestone Learning Foundation is all about. Helping students to discover their passions, and supporting them in their pathway to achieve it.

Although we are not able to offer all students an opportunity to sing in the concert, we encourage all students to continue to grow and develop their talents. Please accept our sincere gratitude for your interest in being involved in the Canadian Crystal Concert.

A total of 37 students were selected to perform during Act II of Canadian Crystal. A concert celebrating some of Canada's best music.
