This all-Canadian event will offer exquisite food pairings specifically created for this occasion, and a sleek, contemporary entertainment program showcasing the many talents of students from across the Limestone District School Board (LDSB), while raising funds for the Foundation.

As the LLF has successfully done with The Crystal Ball, Canadian Crystal will once again allow student musicians to participate in a professional setting, gaining experience in the production and performance of a theatrical show with valuable input from professional musicians. All elements of the evening will be woven into the commemorative moment of Canada’s 150th.

The highlight of the evening is sure to be the All-Canadian Concert  – a 60-minute multi-media event, featuring original music and other Canadian classics, performed by 37 students of the LDSB, and mentored by a group of professional musicians. The LLF is pleased to have the incredible talents of Alexandra Mundy, John Abrams, Tim Stiff and Greg Runions producing the show.

Oh, Canada! - Canadian Crystal Concert - STUDENT VOCALISTS:
Congratulations, and thank you, to the over 70 LDSB students who came out to audition for the Canadian Crystal Concert. Show producers were overwhelmed with the number and calibre of students who auditioned. To perform on a world-class stage, and be mentored by industry leaders, are life-changing experiences. It is what the Limestone District School Board and the Limestone Learning Foundation is all about. Helping students to discover their passions, and supporting them in their pathway to achieve it.

A total of 37 students were selected to perform during Act II of Canadian Crystal. A concert celebrating some of Canada's best music.

Canada the Great - STUDENT ARTISTS:

In a show of nationalism and pride to help celebrate our nation’s special birthday, ten art students from Napanee District SS will portray some of Canada’s colourful 150 year historical events and famous personalities, on canvas. As a community of artists, one submission will be a collective overview. Writers, chosen from the school’s history classes will write an accompanying narrative for each painting. This will culminate in a display of art and writing at the Canadian Crystal Gala, celebrating and promoting the arts in the Limestone School Board District, followed by a group show at the Community Corridor Gallery, of L & A County Hospital, November 17, 2017 to January 12, 2018.
