Growing Minds Garden Brings Learning Aliv
Kindergarten to Grade 6 students at Ecole Sir John A. Macdonald Public School took part in a year-long greening project that culminated with permanent school gardens. Students cultivated seeds, transplanted them into the self-watering garden beds and then further maintained and harvested the crops produced. This project partners with LaSalle SS where senior students planned, constructed and install self-watering raised garden beds. The LLF supported this project through the Anna and Edward Churchill Foundation in the amount of $3,589.
