A new school year always brings with it the promise of a fresh start and this is true for the Limestone Learning Foundation too.

Our Board will embark on a new strategic planning process this fall, seeking input from various stakeholders on developing a long-term plan to ensure the Foundation is accountable, equitable and sustainable. This plan will be the blueprint for enhancing learning opportunities for every student of the Limestone District School Board both now and into the future.

The LLF will be collaborating with Queen’s University and Smith Business Consulting, a student-run management-consulting firm, on this important work. To that end, the Board will be suspending its usual fall grants to review the diversity of initiatives that will best serve both students and educators.

It is a privilege to recognize the service of outgoing board member John Kerslake. From 2013-2019, John served the Foundation in many capacities, but his specialty was working with project applications. His astute comments and investigative questions brought to light the promised results of each funded project helping to fulfill the Foundation’s mission. Thank you, John, for your time, ensuring funds were allocated wisely, and for the rich experience you brought to the table.

Your donations to the Foundation, directly and indirectly, will continue to help make Learning Come Alive.

Thank you,

Katherine C. Leverette
