On Friday, June 19th at the Loyalist Golf & Country Club in Bath Ontario, the 2026 Sandra Davison Memorial Golf Classic brought together community, supporters, and volunteers for a truly memorable and impactful day. With bright sunshine and perfect weather, participants enjoyed a full day on the course filled with energy, connection, and friendly competition.
Golfers took part and engaged in games and activities, including putting and cornhole contests, raffle stations, a speed hole and the Student Swing to Win draws that added excitement across the course. A standout highlight of the day was an incredible hole-in-one, celebrated by a participant that he will not likely forget!
The onsite and online auctions and raffles featured an impressive collection of generously donated items, from gift baskets to electronics, showcasing the strong support of sponsors and community partners. Both in-person and online auctions achieved phenomenal success.
Throughout the event, participants and teams demonstrated enthusiasm and camaraderie, making the day not only a fundraiser but a celebration of community spirit and shared purpose.
There were Limestone Learning Foundation Board members volunteering and golfing in support of the event. A Limestone District School Board educator Matthew McLeod, spoke about the success of the 2025-2026 LLF STEM Kits, highlighting their meaningful impact on student learning across LDSB. Mark Potter served as MC, gave praise and recognized the enduring legacy of Sandra Davison as the originator of the Golf Tournament. The Golf Tournament is now dedicated in her memory as the former LDSB Communications Manager and her commitment to student learning. In addition, Mark handed out all golf recognition, prizes and prizes to draw winners, including one surprise gift to the person who had a hole-in-one!
All funds raised will support specialized and unique learning opportunities for students throughout the Limestone District School Board. Thank you to the golfers, sponsors, financial donors, tournament organizers, LDSB Communications Team, volunteers and staff of the Loyalist Golf & Country Club for making the day a success. Without everyone's support and continued dedication, this day could not have been the success that it was.
