The Limestone Learning Foundation (LLF) is offering ten (10) $500 micro-grants to educators, support staff, student groups, classrooms and families of schools in the Limestone District School Board for the 2026-2027 school year. Grants are to support specific LLF learning disciplines outside of the classroom curriculum in the areas of Arts, Technology, Math, Literacy, Environmental Leadership and Mental Health and Wellbeing.
Over the past 6 years the LLF has provided funding in excess of $100,000 per year for Limestone District School Board (LDSB) wide projects, that all schools have benefited from. These include:
- Books are Back – a 3 phase series from 2021-2024 for Elementary school levels for grants of $100,000 per year
- STEM Kits - a one year project from 2024-2025 for Secondary school levels for a grant of $250,000
- ORFF Kits – a two year project ongoing from 2025-2027 for Elementary schools for two (2) grants of $87,500 per year
- A variety of Speaker Series over the same 6 year period for grants of $10,000 per year
These ten (10) new micro-grants of $500, provide the opportunity for individuals to create or enhance learning opportunities for students within their programs.
Timelines:
- Applications due November 4, 2026
- Project approval December 16, 2026
- Completion of project June 2027
