The Limestone Learning Foundation is excited to support the grant application for STEM kits in LDSB secondary schools. STEM is an umbrella term used to group together the distinct but related technical disciplines of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. These kits will support many extracurricular opportunities, including Robotics (First and Vex), Skills Competitions, and Programming/Coding Competitions.
Engineering Design and Sustainable Development
STEM kits will provide an equitable opportunity in all schools for students to have exposure to technology tools that build critical thinking, creativity, and problem-solving skills, which prepares students for all pathways after high school. Careers have changed, and these kits will provide students with exposure to STEM, and the learning necessary to be prepared for a future that many of us cannot imagine.
The roll-out of these kits will begin in the Fall of 2024.
